The Neighborhood
Greenwich Village
Greenwich Village, by name alone, is argueably the world's most well known gay neighborhood.
It is home to the historic Stonewall Inn, the birthplace of the gay rights movement. In
Sheridan Square along Christopher Street is the hub of gay life, where the Gay Pride Statues,
many bars and just as many shops exist in a charming, tree-lined neighborhood setting.
Popular Chelsea is just to the north.
