The Neighborhood Northalsted North of downtown Chicago and the skyscrapers that made the city famous is the Northalsted neighborhood. Known in the past as Boy's Town, Northalsted has grown into a vibrant community with its own identity and merchant's association. The main corridor runs up Halsted from Belmont to Addison, while the community extends east to the shores of Lake Michigan and Hollywood Beach.
