Point State Park lies in the shadow of downtown Pittsburgh's skyscrapers where the Monongahela
and Allegheny Rivers join to forn the Ohio. This park is also where Fort Pitt is located.
The large urban park is active in the daytime with joggers and recreationalists alike, as
well as those just wanting to relax under one of its many trees.
But at nights, it can be quite a different story. From young couples walking along the banks
of the river to policeman patrolling the park at night, many have reported strange lights
and figures in the darkness.
Mostly shapeless mists are seen, but some claim to see frontiersman in their historic coonskin
outfits as well as native Americans. Some even swear to have seen George Washington himself.
In a park where the city of Pittsburgh was born, it seems the past refuses to leave its
borders.
