There is a place in northwestern Huntsville that seems to defy the growth occurring around
it.
Down a small, almost forgotten road where the trees try their best to hide its existence is a
place called Liberty Hill.
Locals speak of the small cemetery here, where strange lights and noises can be seen from a
distance. Even when no one of the living variety is around.
There is a strangeness to the cemetery. It has that peculiar aura that some places just seem
to have.
But the stories of the cemetery aren’t the only lore of the place.
Abandoned houses, hidden in weeds and thorns sometimes seem alive on dark nights.
They say these strange occurrences are the result of a curse. A curse placed upon the area
by a witch.
Long ago, a supposed witch was hung on top of Liberty Hill. They say she cursed to area to
much misfortune. Many say that her curse has indeed come true.
